A little time. A closer look.
Opened in 2007, the National Art Center, Tokyo has no permanent collection. Its changing exhibitions sit behind a distinctive curved glass facade. You can enjoy the building’s changing light as well as the art; check which shows are open before travelling.
Something to notice
Follow the curve of the glass from outside, then notice how it changes the light inside. Pick one reflection or shadow to remember. Keep circulation routes clear while you pause.
A little consideration
Check photography and admission rules for each exhibition. Do not touch works or block viewing routes. Follow staff guidance and check the current calendar before your visit.
