A little time. A closer look.
Tokyo Station's Marunouchi exterior and surrounding public spaces offer an architecture-focused station visit. Look at the building from outside and explore the nearby streets without confusing this walk with access to the Imperial Palace grounds.
Something to notice
Compare the station facade with the newer buildings around it. Notice how the open square gives the busy transport hub room to breathe.
A little consideration
Keep station entrances and commuter routes clear. Railway platforms and paid areas require the correct ticket; the street walk does not include train travel.
